yamaha XV950 Racer

New Yamaha XV950 Racer revealed:

Yamaha have revealed this new XV950 Racer version of the V-twin sport heritage bikes as an additional model to join the range.Underneath the XV950 Racer is the 942cc air-cooled V-twin  and chassis from the rest of the XV950 range which means the peak power and torque remain unchanged at 50bhp and 58.5ft lbs.Changes to the XV950 Racer over the other bikes in the range include forged aluminium clip-on handlebars to give a forward-leaning riding position. The 22.2mm diameter clip-on handlebars are 156mm further forward and 78mm lower than the XV950 models. The slimmer 22.2mm diameter handlebars allow sportier handgrips and more compact switchgear with the clutch and brake levers smaller, along with a smaller front brake master cylinder. The ‘racer’ style of the bike is further enhanced with new rearset footrests which are set 150mm further back and 29mm higher up to add ground clearance. The new single seat is 75mm higher than the 950R model and adds to the overall sportier riding experience Yamaha claims. The seat also gets a cover to look like old-style racing bikes.

Honda CB300F

HONDA-2015

NEW RELEASE Honda CB300f

New single-cylinder Honda naked arrives this fall, priced at $3,999.

This new Honda looks like a great entry-level street bike, based closely on the CBR300R and powered by that bike’s liquid-cooled 286cc single.

It’s a stroked version of the engine in the CB250R, and Honda says this fuel-injected engine boasts a broad powerband while delivering outstanding 71 mpg fuel economy.

Also, with a low seat height of 30.7 inches and specially configured side covers, the new CB300F is designed to make it easy for shorter folks to touch the ground with ease and thereby ride with more confidence.

An MSRP of $3,999 makes the new CB300F all the more attractive.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron-Harley-Davidson-livewire

Harley-Davidson Livewire in new Avengers

Harley-Davidson’s association with the Marvel Avengers movie franchise continues with the all-electric LiveWire concept bike featuring fairly heavily in the latest film.

Harley is still maintaining the Livewire project remains nothing more than a concept bike and is about to launch a European-wide competition for people to be able to try and win one of 1000 test ride spaces available. The UK dates for the test rides will be on May 16 and 17 at a still-to-be-announced venue.

At the heart of the Livewire is a longitudinally-mounted three-phase electric motor producing 55kW which is equivalent to 74bhp. In depth technical details have still not been released but insiders have suggested a claimed range of around 100miles on a single charge with the bike then needing 3.5 hours to completely recharge from a standard domestic electrical supply.
